The second-hand marketplace Users Share Frustration Over Sizing Changes
Vinted users have been reacting angrily after an update resulted in items being listed as the wrong size.
The popular resale platform has updated its sizing categories for women's and children's garments without notifying all users about the change.

Countless users and merchants are posting online saying Vinted listings now show a modified sizing category compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification.
Vinted explained the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces.
They have suggested members to check their listings and manually change the size when needed, causing user dissatisfaction.
Measurement Approach Modifications
Previously, the sizing featured numerical and alphabetical indicators, for instance S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes an alphabetical indicator and numerical range for example S/UK 8-10.
With some products, the sizing has been recategorised - for example a size L was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.
Shopper Stories
Frankie Bridger, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," as the platform currently indicates.
Stephanie Gallen, based in Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were showing in the marketplace as size 20–22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they will likely be quite upset," she said.
Required Changes
Another shopper, based in Derby, stated she felt frustrated because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing".
"This situation is especially annoying, as I'm chronically ill and selling on Vinted has been paramount after experiencing income reduction," she said.
Platform Context
The service features exceeding 100 million shoppers, with 18 million British users.
It has proved a popular alternative to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance when a surprising modification within the service has received backlash: earlier, the service retracted a modification to its shipping options following member complaints.
