Understanding Retatrutide

Retatrutide is an experimental injection created by American pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly. The drug targets three gut hormones – glucagon-like peptide-1, glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide and pancreatic hormone. Early trials indicate it could assist individuals reduce up to a quarter of their total weight. Referred to as the “triple G”, the substance is being hailed digitally as the next Ozempic.

Healthcare Professionals Voice Worries

However, doctors and pharmacists have warned that the sale of what remains an unlicensed medication in the UK is a cause for concern and could result in individuals administering substances of unknown origin.
